Welcome to Costa Rica´s capital city, San Jose, the country´s historical and cultural heart.  San José is lively and home to many historical landmarks including the iconic National Theater, a number of museums, city parks and architectural gems.  San José is vibrant and has a buzz to it that comes with a variety of restaurants, bars and casinos.  It is also located nearby active volcanoes, coffee plantations and quaint rural settings rich in folklore on the mountains on either side. From the city to the coast at the far southern corner of the Caribbean Sea is an amazing contrast.  Beautiful, tropical rainforest-laden beaches, coral reefs, calypso, and the Caribbean vibe will enchant you.  Time takes a new rhythm in this part of the world. (2 nights)

 

Tortuguero is a series of winding water canals that snake through dense, rainforest that is home to wildlife and birdlife in abundance before reaching the Caribbean Sea. Tortuguero is nature at its best and where wildlife spotting is part of the adventure from your boat as it explores the canals.  Monkeys, sloths, caimans, birds, reptiles, sea turtles and maybe even a jaguar abound. Arenal Arenal is not only beautiful, but also the adventure capital of the world!  The sleepy Arenal Volcano can be admired as you enjoy a number of adventure activities immersed in nature. The adrenaline of ziplining through its canopy, hiking on its floor, rafting down its rivers or walking through its hanging bridges contrast the relaxing, medicinal thermal springs, a gift from our iconic volcano.  Adventure in nature like no other.
